Saved by the Bell: The College Years was an NBC network sitcom and spin-off of "Saved by the Bell" created by Sam Bobrick.
The show aired from May 22, 1993 to February 8, 1994, lasting for one season & 19 episodes. It was produced by Peter Engel Productions & NBC Productions.
Plot[]
The series centered on Zack, Screech, Slater and Kelly as they attend the fictitious California University (or Cal U) along with their new college friends Leslie Burke, Alex Tabor and Danielle Marks (who was written out of the series after the pilot).

Production[]
After the pilot episode aired, Essence Atkins' role was eliminated, and Tiffani-Amber Thiessen returned to the show in her role of Kelly Kapowski. Her character, Danielle was written out of the series as having transferred to another college.
