Plot[]

Tutankhensetamun was an impulsive but kindhearted young Egyptian Pharaoh who lived a luxurious but short lived life. Back in ancient Egypt, his life was cut short when he saved a friend from being crushed by rocks, being crushed himself. He carries the mighty Sceptre of Was, and the cirumstances of his death are unknown at first.

In the 21st century, 12-year-old Cleo Carter accidentally witnesses his awakening after a bolt of lightning hits Tut's mummified body, which is on display at the local museum. She and her anthropomorphic cat Luxor must now help Tut to find his way around in the modern world. All the while, they must evade the pursuit of Set, who, with the aid of his minions, seeks to gain the Sceptre of Was and became ruler of all.
